Getting Started

Create an account, set up your first constitution, and start drafting in under a minute.

Signing In

Dictumal uses Google authentication—no separate account or password required. Click Sign In on the top navigation bar, then select Continue with Google. You’ll be redirected back to Dictumal automatically.

Your Dashboard

After signing in you land on the Dashboard. This is your home base. From here you can:

See all your existing constitutions at a glance.
Click New Constitution to start a fresh draft.
Click any constitution card to view or edit it.

Creating Your First Constitution

From the dashboard, click New Constitution.
Give it a title (e.g. “My Personal Computer Constitution”) and an optional description.
You’ll be taken to the Drafting page where an AI chatbot helps you articulate your values and constraints.

Core Concepts

Values: High-level beliefs you hold (e.g. “Privacy is paramount”).
Principles: Guidelines derived from your values that shape behaviour.
Policies: Actionable rules that can be enforced technically.
Constraints: Concrete technical restrictions (e.g. “Block YouTube permanently”).
