Managing Your Constitution

Edit, amend, and review the history of every clause in your constitution.

Constitution View

Click on any constitution from your dashboard to view it. Clauses are grouped by type—Values, Principles, Policies, and Constraints—and displayed as cards.

Clause Actions

Hover over any clause card to reveal an Actions dropdown menu with the following options:

  • Propose Amendment — Opens the drafting page with a pre-loaded amendment conversation to refine or update the clause.
  • View History — Opens a timeline sidebar showing every chat session that referenced or modified this clause, including the original session that created it.

Clause History Timeline

The history timeline shows each chat session in chronological order with the relationship type:

  • ORIGIN — The conversation that first created this clause.
  • AMENDMENT — A conversation where the clause was modified.
  • REFERENCE — A conversation where the clause was discussed but not changed.

From the timeline you can click View Conversation to jump back into the original chat session on the drafting page and continue the conversation.

Clause Statuses

Every clause goes through a lifecycle:

  • Draft — Newly created, still being refined.
  • Proposed — Put forward for review.
  • Ratified — Accepted and active.
  • Archived — Superseded by an amendment or removed. Archived clauses are hidden from the default view.
